Think Toy Story meets Mario+Legend of Zelda. It does get a little bit repetitive, but its still worth playing as you upgrade and build new equipment to fight stronger and stronger enemy toys. The base-building doesn't seem very useful; it'd be more interesting if you could be actively involved in the night raids. The NPCs could use some improvement: at the moment they're pretty static and useless. The quests they give come a bit out of order as well. The story is told through diary entries which you find throughout the house. I'm not certain, but I believe they come in a fixed order, and I think that order could be a smidge better. However, the story is fascinating, and each time I find a diary entry, I'm left with a sense of anticipation and terror.Overall, it lacks some polish, but it is really quite fun!. Not that bad of a a game. There's fun things and many things that can be improved, like enemy AI. Some enemies can be avoided and fought fairly, while others are plain annoying (damn mini ninjas & slimes) The level generation isn't the best at times, and the grammar in some of the dialogue could use an upgrade. (like the trading card descriptions) Also raids at the beginning of the game can get really annoying when you're trying to save up currency to build defenses, only to have most of it stolen the next night. (if you're lucky you can repell the attack or there will be none) Wouldn't say the price is quite worth it either, though I was able to get this from the recent jingle jam Humble Bundle.overall a 5/10. TL:DR good game for short time,♥♥♥♥♥♥game overall. Lots of potential. Don't play this game too much but look forward to the developer's next game.good game for the first few hours when discovering the mechanics of each monster and the different rooms but it grows repetitive and the quests are not chronologically sound. I'm killing the bosses and I get stupid side quests like "kill 7 evil toys in 5 minutes" which is ridiculously easy.The side quest for killing the monster chest was bugged, killed about a total of 8 of them and that was when I started counting.Sometimes the toys jumped out of the map and were unkillable, which is not a problem most times, but a problem when there are "clear the room" quests.Collecting materials are ridiculously tedious.The gold bar and silver bars are ridiculously hard to get.The slots are relatively badly programmed.The collection of gold is pretty much useless in the later stages of the game.The damage of the monsters are not linear, by which I mean one monster in a room can do 2 damage to me and another monster in the same room can damage me for about 80, which can be considered to be usable "gameplay strategy" but more likely bad planning of scaling of damage.Voice acting is cringy but atleast A+++ for effort.Some of the texts are grammatically wrong.
